Topic: A person's childhood years are the most important years of a person's life. Do you agree?

Children’s development has attracted much social concern. Many people believe that the early years of a person’s life are much more important than that in the later ones in building up his development. Personally, I strongly support that belief.

First and foremost, what I put in my priority is the importance of education that one receives in the beginning years of his life. Obviously, the very first lessons that one receives is the foundation for his further study and success throughout his life. For example, a child who does not enroll in a kid garden but receives poor education at home, often finds difficult and less confident in doing study at primary school. This may lead to bad performance at school and affect his development greatly. More notably, education brings about the initial exposure to the world. It is not only the knowledge and experience but also communications and team work skills, are very important lessons in this times. The absorbed intellect and skills will surely essential to the rest of one’s life. Indeed, children education should be a top priority.

In the second place, personal characteristics formation holds no less important role in this period. It is common knowledge that the characteristics from the early stage seem to remain for long. That is because of the first impression and inborn factors to form these characteristics. Therefore, it is very difficult to change them if we find those characteristics are bad ones. More remarkably, children usually imitate other expressions and behavior. They are fast learner and can copy exactly other styles. Thus, parents should pay attention on this issue in daily communications. Without doubt, the good and effective characteristics are essential in making one’s development and success.

Last but not least, parents’ love to children draws much of my consideration. The fact is that, little children need to receive their parents and surrounding people’s love and care. This love gives them the confidence of being protected so that he will not fear other dangers. Many unfortunate children of divorced couples are wild and easily vulnerable to social evils. By and large, the children deserve to have appropriate physical care and support.

To sum up, education, characteristics formation and parents’ love to the children are the major reasons that make a person’s childhood years the most critical years of his life. I strongly recommend that people should take my discussion into consideration while growing and educating their lovely children.
